***Spook Level is subjective but as a general guide:

πŸŽƒ Mild Spook

πŸŽƒπŸŽƒ Medium Spook

πŸŽƒπŸŽƒπŸŽƒ High Spook

The Hollow

Spook Level πŸŽƒπŸŽƒ

Another incredible audio drama by Gen-Z Media (people who brought you Six Minutes). When three 6th graders at Sleepy Hollow Middle School stumble upon a real-life ghost story, they find themselves on the trail of the Headless Horseman himself. Is he truly a terrifying ghoul, or has he been misunderstood for all these years? Spook level is medium. My 7 year old listened to this one all the way through without feeling too scared. It is one of the best! Don’t miss this one! I guarantee your kids will love it.

Once Upon A Time in ZombievilleS

Spook Level πŸŽƒπŸŽƒ

It's been called  'a comic book for the ears' an immersive audio drama with an exciting story with lots of twists and turns. Spook level is medium. This sci-fi adventure is sure to keep your kids entertained.

Camp Redrum

Spook Level πŸŽƒπŸŽƒπŸŽƒ

A narrated horror anthology for older kids with a high spook level (or I’m just a baby and get scared easy which is very possible). At the risk of being stuck in the abandoned Camp Redrum forever, a grumpy janitor named Eli is trapped under mysterious circumstances. When a group of kids breaks into his camp, Eli recruits their help with the promise of scary stories. Though Eli can never quite find the answer to his problems he remains determined to try again each week in the hopes of escaping eternity at Camp Redrum.

Camp Monsters

Spook Level πŸŽƒπŸŽƒ-πŸŽƒπŸŽƒπŸŽƒ

These are the stories of impossible encounters with impossible creatures in the wildest corners of North America. We’ll travel the country, sit around campfires and talk about that thing that ran across the trail in the middle of the night, just beyond the beam of your flashlight. Come closer to the fire. Let’s hear the next legend. Spook level is medium to high depending on the creature. We haven’t listened to all the episodes yet- but our favorite one is β€˜The Jersey Devil.’

The Witch in the Woods

Spook Level πŸŽƒπŸŽƒ

The Witch in the Woods is a family friendly horror podcast following four children as they seek out the witch in the woods on a dare. They befriend her and her familiars: a fastidious dog named Barnaby and a snarky cat named Grimalkin. To prove to their friends that they’ve visited the witch, Barnaby and Grimalkin tell them supernatural stories and spine-chilling tales. Aimed at a middle grade/young adult audience this podcast balances laugh out loud humor with gasp out loud spookiness. Spook level is medium. We haven’t finished the whole season yet but I’m sure we will.

Shadow Realm

Spook Level πŸŽƒπŸŽƒ

A San Francisco teenager finds out he has magical powers after falling through a fault in the earth and into the lands of Vedic mythology, and in Season 2, he learns his journey is far from over. Can Arya save his friends, or will his power plunge them deeper into danger? Spook Level 2.
